Bauhaus-era Christmas Ornaments - Set of 12
In celebration of the centennial of the Bauhaus (1919 – 2019), IC Design has released this reproduction set of 12 turned wood Christmas ornaments. Their clean geometric forms are reminiscent of the costume designs of Oskar Schlemmer for the Triadic Ballet. Crafted in the Black Forest in Germany, to a large extent by hand. Designed in 1929/30, these ornaments are attributed to the Bauhaus architect Johannes Gabriel. The originals were found in an estate of an architect from Cologne who purchased many objects directly from the Bauhaus.
