Return Policy
Items can be returned for store credit or exchanged within 14 days from the day of purchase. All returns must be accompanied with the original receipt, unopened and in original packaging. No returns or exchanges on sale or discounted items. Please note that all Gus Modern items are subject to an additional 20% restocking fee and additional terms apply. More information on Gus Modern policy below.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:
- Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned
- We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
- All shower curtains are final sale
- All sale and discounted items are final sale
- All exempt products will be indicated on their product page
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Gus Modern Returns Policy
For all Gus Modern returns, please ensure that you have kept all receipts and original packaging. Returns may be subject to inspection before your refund can be issued.
An order can only be cancelled with 48hrs after the order has been placed.
Gus Modern items may be returned up to 14 days from recorded delivery date by the courier or the day the items were picked up from our store or the Gus warehouse. A 20% restocking fee applies to all Gus Modern items returned within this period. We ask for this fee because once the item is returned, we own it and we won't be able to re-sell it for full price – we'll sell it at a discount as a floor model, open box deal or warehouse find.
Floor models and warehouse sale items – or other items as specifically indicated – are final sale and may not be returned or cancelled.
The customer is responsible for knowing that all elevators, stairwells, corridors and doorways of their residence will permit normal delivery. We are not responsible for furniture that does not fit and a restocking fee, as specified above, will apply if the item must be returned.
Online Return Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit in store credit note will be sent to you.
Items Purchases in Store
Items that were purchased can only be returned in store and all the same return policy terms and conditions apply.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be returned, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Damaged Items
We do our best to make sure your order arrives promptly and in good condition. Reality dictates that, occasionally, damages can unfortunately occur during transit while in the care of a third party. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours to avoid any unnecessary complexity dealing with delivery insurance and return freight and to ensure that returns can be processed at no cost to you. If the packaging is damaged on arrival, please note that when signing for delivery. If no mention is made of external damage, we cannot be responsible for any product damage and will not accept a return or issue a refund.
If the contents of your order are damaged, please do not discard any of the original packaging. Take photos of any visible damage and email them to hello@313designmarket.com along with any details pertaining to the delivery.
We reserve the right to refuse or issue a refund or replacement in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with product instructions.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping, duties and custom fees for returning your item. Shipping, duties and customs fees costs are non-refundable. If you receive store credit or a refund, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with exchanges, including the cost to return the original item and the cost to ship the exchanged item from our store. A shipping quote for the exchanged item will be provided before shipment.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
