About Band Camp Campfire Series
The Campfire Series raises funds and awareness for local Ontario charities that provide critical support for those who need it most.
Although their events have previously happened in-person, they have shifted gears and are taking their infamous prize draw & silent auction online!
Since 2018, the generous support of donors, event attendees, and sponsors have enabled them to donate over $40,000 to local charities.
Your Impact
In a year where marginalized communities are facing extreme hardship, investment in local charities is more important than ever before. Through your participation in our auction & prize draw, you are helping to raise funds for communities impacted most by Covid-19. With most charities facing a significant loss in revenue, the support of our sponsors will help ensure that they can continue to serve their communities at this critical time.
This year’s charities: Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium, FoodShare, Stray to Play.
CAMP OOCH & CAMP TRILLIUM
Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium is a privately funded charity that brings laughter and joy to kids and families affected by childhood cancer. Year-round community, in-hospital, overnight, and interactive virtual camp programs across Ontario deliver fun, friendship and a sense of community at any stage of a child's cancer journey. With your support, they can continue to provide programs to the kids during a time when they need it most.
FOODSHARE
FoodShare partners with communities to support gardens, markets, and urban agriculture projects across Toronto. Their programs support skill development and empower people to make healthy choices through hands-on participation in growing food, and capacity building of community-led initiatives. They have distributed more than 300,000 pounds of fresh produce to low-income families since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
STRAY TO PLAY
Stray to Play is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing stray, abused, surrendered, and abandoned dogs from all over the globe and finding them loving, lasting homes. They do this by working with volunteers, foster homes and veterinarians, and, of course, their rescue partners.
