Learn more about the calendar and initiative from the designer, Dr. Ana Rita Morais BA, MA, PhD, Chair of the School of Design at George Brown College:
"It's bacccccckkk! So overwhelmed by all of the support with the 2021 calendar that I had to do it all over again. Over the last two years, we have witnessed the ways in which BIPOC students have been disproportionally impacted by social, economic, and health disparities resulting from discrimination and racism— a scenario that has been exacerbated by the pandemic. In an effort to lessen financial hardships, I created this limited run large-scale calendar set to help fund emergency aid for BIPOC students at George Brown College's School of Design. It has been an honour to serve these students, to watch them evolve, and to see through them the ways in which design is relentless and resilient.
In 2022, I commit anew to leaving no student behind, and I hope you'll join me in these efforts."
